All By Myself

This little lady left earlier this week to spend some
time with the grandparents.
I have 4 full days and 2 half days to myself.
You know when you think to yourself, "if I just
had an hour, I could get SO many projects done."

I had my list (of course) of all of these projects
I wanted to complete.  Yes, even in a hotel,
a girl can have projects.  Yes, they are boring,
but seriously, what else am I supposed to do?!

Well I am on my 2nd full day.
This is what I have done...
 Day 1 (it's a half day)
Started with some reading and tea.

Briefly (as in maybe 5 minutes) flipped through some
school books to get ideas for finishing up this year of school
and starting next year.

Went to the library, and picked up movies and books
to occupy my time.

Then, off I went to workout with the hubby.
Insanity...

...with several people in the military.
Let's just say no one was impressed with
my push ups.

Then frantically we rushed back to the room,
took a two minute shower, ate some leftover pizza, and
off we went to our Bible Study.
We are reading Mark Driscoll's
"Who Do You Think You Are?"
It was our first week, so it was just introductions.
The chaplain told us a little bit about himself (he
also is who we listen to on Sunday mornings).
This guy is busy!  He ministers to 3500 people.
That is a lot.  When you also take into account that
he basically has a new congregation every 12-13 weeks
that just makes my head spin.

Speaking of heads spinning.  I went back to
the room and collapsed into bed.
Then I woke up with a migraine.

And this is all I ate my entire first day without
the little one.  I slept pretty much all day.
Then I got up long enough to listen to a
webinar about essential oils.

Then I went back to bed.  Exciting, right?

Since yesterday was a bust, I got up today (Day 2)
and thought I would go find some new places.
I drove, and drove, and drove some more.

Found a small little teacher supply store, and
came home with Bob Books.
Have you ever heard of them?  I have
heard lots of great reviews about children
learning to read with these.  They are
easy short books for new readers.

And that's it folks.

Hopefully tomorrow brings some new
adventures.
